Acai Berry Cherry Smoothie
VN, GF, SF

Yield: 1 Serving

This smoothie contains both acai and blueberries making it an antioxidant powerhouse! When these fruits are blended in a base of black cherry juice, the result is an absolutely decadent taste with no added sweetener. All ingredients in this smoothie are excellent for combating stress.

Ingredients

10 oz pure black cherry juice
3/4 cup frozen blueberries
1ea Sambazon Pure Acai frozen smoothie pack
1 tbs flax oil
1 tsp spirulina or unflavoured mixed green food powder
1 serving protein powder of choice

Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender and run on high speed until smooth.

For regular blenders you will need to break up the frozen smoothie pack, or, if necessary, you may wish to thaw some of the frozen ingredients before using.

If you own a Vita-Mix, you will have no problem with the load, and do not even have to break up the smoothie pack. Simply walk the speed up to 10, switch to high, and press the frozen ingredients into the blades using the tamper.

Both my husband and I really enjoy the rich taste of this smoothie. I used Cool Hemp unflavoured protein powder.
